Unity AR Navy Pier / Paris
The application uses two cubes, the Merge cube and the Class cube, representing the Navy Pier and Paris, France respectively. The application uses the camera to transform the cubes into visual representations of the regions based on which cube is on camera. Each side of the cube will display the name of the place, the time based on its timezone, weather conditions of that region, and an image representing each area (A logo/flag for example). The Merge cube (Navy Pier) displays this using 12-hour time and imperial measurements while the Class cube (Paris) displays this using 24-hour time and metric measurements. On top of the cubes, there will be a 3D display to represent the things in the region (Like the Eiffel tower appearing on the Paris cube) and background sound for the specific cube will play while the cube is on display. The best thing is that both cubes can be running at the same time, so you don't have to move a cube off camera to look at the other cube.
The cubes this application uses can be found here. Note that you will need to print the cubes and put them together yourself.

Reasoning for assets used
For the Navy Pier cube, the first things I thought of were the ferris wheel, the yachts, and the tall red light structures floating on the water. So I tried to recreate that image from the yacht, to the ferris wheel, to even the small land anchor next to the ferris wheel. The anchor is for symbolic purposes only since there are boats in the Navy Pier and the tall red structure with light is something I've seen from the distance whenever I visited the place. The ambient ocean sound is used for the sole reason that being next to the water in the Navy Pier has that similar sound as the ambient sound used. For Paris, the Eiffel Tower is self-explanatory, the table, chair, baguette, and street lamp is to capture the feeling of tourism in Paris, of eating a baguette next to the street with the Eiffel Tower in view. I used the music in the Project because it was French and nothing says Paris more than French music in the background.
